The project was implemented in partnership with Association of citizens “Domovik” from Kosovska Mitrovica
The overall objective of the project was to improve the quality of life of unaccompanied minors by providing various forms of support and necessary information. At the heart of this goal is the intention to alleviate the risks faced by unaccompanied minors and ensure their safe passage through Serbia without additional trauma and dangers, respecting their elementary human rights.
Activities were realized in the Niš and Pcinja districts in the period December 2015 to December 2016
Informing of unaccompanied minors about their rights, as well as the manner of their realization in the period of stay in Serbia – realized through personal contacts, through training and creative workshops with juvenile migrants, as well as through the informative internet portal
Help and support for unaccompanied minors through training and creative workshops.
Empowering citizens, civil society organizations, child and youth care institutions and local self-governments in relation to the growing problem of irregular migration. – This goal is accomplished through intensive cooperation and exchange of experiences of partners on the project and training of volunteers
Timely and objective information to the public about the unaccompanied minors’ living conditions
The project is supported by the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veterans’ Affairs and Social Affairs of the Republic of Serbia.
